Privacy Policy
How Mortgage Bazaar Limited collects, uses and protects your personal information.
1. Who we are
This website is run by Mortgage Bazaar Limited (“we”, “us”), a company registered in England and Wales, company number 16533005, registered office 2 Epsom Close, West Malling, ME19 6NX. We are an appointed representative of Sesame Limited, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA reference number 1055765).
We are the controller of the personal information described in this policy. You can contact us about your data at nikhil@mortgagebazaar.co.uk.
2. Information we collect
- Enquiries. When you use our contact form, email or phone us, we collect your name, title, email address, phone number, the type of enquiry and any notes you give us.
- Mortgage advice. If you go on to become a client, we will need further information such as your income, outgoings, deposit, credit commitments, employment details and proof of identity. We will explain how we use it at that point.
- Website usage. If you accept analytics cookies, we collect information about how you use the site (pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate location) through Google Analytics. Our web server also records technical information such as your IP address.
3. Why we use your information

We do not use your information for automated decision-making that has a legal or similarly significant effect on you.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where needed:
- with Sesame Limited, our principal firm, in line with its own privacy notice;
- with lenders, insurers and other providers, when you ask us to arrange a product;
- with service providers that help us run our business, such as website hosting, email and IT support, and Google (analytics, if you consent);
- with the FCA, the ICO, law enforcement or other authorities where we are legally required to.
If information is transferred outside the UK, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place.
5. How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to advice are normally deleted within 12 months. Records of regulated advice and related documents are kept for as long as FCA rules and other legal obligations require. Analytics data is kept for the period set in our Google Analytics account.
6. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- be told how your information is used and ask for a copy of it;
- have inaccurate information corrected;
- ask us to delete your information in some circumstances;
- ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to certain uses;
- receive the information you gave us in a portable format where it applies;
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting what happened before.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including secure hosting and restricted access.

9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
